LCD panels is the technical term for the LCD glass without any ICs. Other LCDs are LCD-module, COG LCDs etc.
LeT (hk) Pacific Co., Ltd. is offering only custom designed LCD panels. We are not a 'classic' distributor in terms of selling a broad range of standard modules from stock.
LCD panels are offered in the 'consumer' and 'extended' temperature range. Depending on the technology the limits are in between -30 deg.C. and +85 deg.C.
We offer basic technolgies such as:
TN (twisted-nematic),
STN (supertwisted-nematic) or
FSTN (film-compensated STN).
Whilst, as a general rule most of the TN cells are offered in 'positive-mode' (black pixel on bright background), we differentiate from STN displays in 'yellow-mode' (blue pixel on yellow-greenish background), 'neutral-mode' (blue pixel on a greyish background) and finally 'blue-mode' displays. The latter correspond with a classic 'negative-mode'. This kind of displays are backlighted white and pixels are bright and background is blue.
FSTN displays are offered in both modes, 'positiv-mode' and 'negativ-mode'. The color characteristic of a STN cell is hereby neutralized. Hence, pixels are black and background is grey. This kind of cells could be backlighted using any color you like.
Interconnetors
There are several options, how to interconnect the LCD panel and the PCB which are:
metal PIN connector (different shapes available)
ACF or
zebra/elastomer connector.
